The Windows 10 release is coming up soon and surprisingly AMD has mistakingly released when we expect that date to be. Microsoft Windows 10, the successor to Windows 8 will be released late July. This new OS is Microsoft's attempt to get Windows XP and Windows 7 users to upgrade too since Windows 7 and Windows XP seem to be the favorite. AMD’s CEO,
What we also are factoring in is, you know, with the Windows 10 launch at the end of July, we are watching sort of the impact of that on the back-to-school season, and expect that it might have a bit of a delay to the normal back-to-school season inventory build-up.
Windows 10 will be free to download for Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows phone. There is a catch though because you must upgrade within a year or you will be charged extra to upgrade.
Microsoft has developed a new part of Office called Office 365 Video. Think of it as YouTube for companies without sharing publicly. It allows companies a place to upload and share videos with their corporation on desktops and mobile devices. Companies can create easy browsable channels and upload content. It gives the tool of sharing bulky files over your intranet.
Just like YouTube when a video is uploaded, different resolutions are available so members of the company can stream smoothly. All content is uploaded to via HTML5-based player so content is compatible with all platforms.
In addition, has developed and launched an iPhone app to allow employees to make videos on the go and upload them. Microsoft claims more apps are coming soon.
NZXT has been working on CAM: a free app to monitor your PC. It has finally been released and can be downloaded here. It has a clean interface with an easy to use modern UI that serves as a powerful tool. You can change CAM to be your very own command center with different backgrounds. What CAM does is monitor all your key hardware to make sure everything is running smoothly and cool. A cool feature is the ability to track in-game FPS performance with CAM Overlay.
If you register, your have the ability to store your CAM data in the cloud in order to access monitored data and analyze the health of your PC over time.
The most interesting tool that CAM has to offer is the ability to access the program remotely and use your iOS or Android device as a second screen. When you use an iOS or Android device you can download the app when you sign in to your account.
The new generation of Apple TV will have many new apps, a new streaming TV Service, but it will not support 4K video. BuzzFeed News‘ John Paczkowski states that the highest resolution that the new Apple TV will support is 1080p because the 4K technology is “still in its infancy.”
The interesting thing is that the A8 chip should be able to handle 4K resolutions but the market just isn’t there yet. Many consumers right now are not buying 4K monitors or TVs so Apple believes that until there is a large market for 4K resolutions the Apple TV will have to only support 1080p. Companies such as Amazon and Netflix currently do not have much 4K content for that reason. You also have to consider to find consumers with both compatible TVs and fast internet access. The internet access speed for most consumers in the United States is slow but that should change as Google Fiber begins to expand its network. While this is disconcerting for consumers with 4K TV and fast internet, it will not take very long for the 4K resolution market to grow and at that point, Apple may release a firmware update that will unlock its capabilities of supporting 4K resolution.
If you go to Amazon.com and you are a Prime member, you can request an invitation to get a FREE Amazon Dash button for multiple products. This Dash Button allows you access to products with the press of a button without having to worry about going to the store, putting it on a grocery list, or running out. The button comes with an adhesive backing and comes in a variety of different product buttons. You can order them here.
The Dash button is an extension of Amazon's ONE CLICK feature but this button makes it more convenient for the average consumer. If you run out of a product and you have the button right next to it you can just push the button and BAM, Amazon begins packing it for you and you'll have it within two days. This is compared to having to order via computer and remembering to order it. Amazon's idea was that if you have a physical hardware device device near the place where you actually use the product, you’ll be more like to order before you run out.
How does it work? Well you can setup Amazon’s Dash Button using the Amazon mobile app, and connect via your Wi-Fi network. You have to configure it to the product you want and once you are finished the button will automatically order to your default address using your default Amazon payment order. Amazon has designed it so that multiple presses won't cause multiple orders until the first one is delivered. You can override this manually, especially if you want to order more than one.
For now the products that you can use the Dash button with include things like toilet paper, cleaning products, juice, and many more products. Amazon is planning something big to try and integrate the button in a number of devices. Amazon has already partnered with a number of companies to make this happen. What is surprising is that some products will detect when a replacement is needed. Is the future here? Will everyone have smart devices?

Microsoft has revealed a "rough draft" of Spartan, so that they can get some feedback.
“This preview is NOT a polished, ready-for-everyone release,” says Microsoft product manager Joe Belfiore.
Here are some of the new changes:
-A modern engine- “Faster, more secure, and more reliable,” Microsoft says.
-A cleaned-up design- No traditional menus (no File, Edit, or View)
-Cortana. Cortana is Microsoft’s Siri or Google Now
-Reading View- Like Safari, it views only the texts and photos with no ads (Is Microsoft getting the hint from Apple?)
-Annotations- Toolbar full of annotation tools.
